Offerings, color animation, 2010

An animated video project where food is made as a spiritual offering to an unknown deity. Idyllic fruit and vegetables float from the sky and are placed in a offering shrine. This event is juxtaposed to processed food which later appears and is presented as pristine and accompanied by graphical colors in the fashion of a commercial. Further on the organic food begins to rot but the processed food stays inanimate. This process is an animated illustration of our own idealization of food in both the organic and manufactured arenas.
